Itinerary

Day 1: LIMA RECEPTION

According to your arrival schedule, welcome to Lima, the capital city of Peru.
Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, our representative will be waiting for you to provide assistance and transfer you comfortably to your hotel.
Arrival at the hotel, check-in and time to settle in after your journey.
Lunch included according to your arrival time and service coordination.
If your flight arrives in the morning, you will have free time in the afternoon to explore Lima at your own pace. We recommend visiting the district of Miraflores, walking along the Pacific Ocean boardwalk, exploring the Larcomar Shopping Center or enjoying the local gastronomy.

Day 2: FLIGHT LIMA - CHINCHERO - SACRED VALLEY

6:00 – 7:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
7:00 AM: Transfer from the hotel to Lima International Airport.
7:30 – 8:00 AM: Check-in and boarding procedures. It is recommended to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure.
9:50 AM: Flight from Lima to Cusco.
11:15 AM approx.: Arrival in Cusco and welcome by our local representative.
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Transfer to Chinchero.
12:30 – 1:30 PM: Visit to Chinchero, where you will explore its archaeological terraces, colonial church and traditional textile center, where local families preserve ancient weaving techniques passed down through generations.
2:00 PM: Lunch included at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley.
3:30 PM: Transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Arrival at the hotel, check-in and free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful Andean surroundings.

Day 3: MORAY AND MARAS SALT MINES - OLLANTAYTAMBO - AGUAS CALIENTES

7:00 – 8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel to begin the Sacred Valley excursion.
9:30 – 11:00 AM: Visit to Moray, an impressive Inca agricultural site formed by concentric terraces used as a laboratory to test crops at different altitudes.
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Visit to the famous Maras Salt Mines, thousands of salt pools worked by local families since pre-Inca times.
1:30 PM: Lunch included at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley.
3:00 PM: Continuation to Ollantaytambo, one of the best preserved Inca towns in Peru.
3:20 PM: Boarding the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes.
5:00 PM approx.: Arrival in Aguas Calientes and transfer to the hotel.
Check-in and free time to explore the town or relax before the visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 4: MACHU PICCHU TOUR - CUSCO

5:30 – 6:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
6:00 AM: Transfer from the hotel to the bus station.
6:10 – 6:40 AM: Bus ride from Aguas Calientes up to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
7:00 AM: Entrance to Machu Picchu.
7:00 – 9:00 AM: Guided tour of Machu Picchu, with explanations about the history, architecture and significance of the Inca citadel.
9:00 – 11:30 AM: Free time to enjoy the site at your own pace.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Bus ride back down to Aguas Calientes.
12:00 – 1:30 PM: Free time for lunch (included) and rest.
2:30 PM approx.: Transfer to the train station.
3:20 – 4:00 PM: Departure by train back to Ollantaytambo, schedule subject to availability.
6:30 – 7:00 PM approx.: Arrival and transfer to the city of Cusco.

Day 5: CUSCO CITY TOUR

7:00 – 8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
Free morning to relax, explore the city on your own or enjoy the surroundings of Cusco’s Main Square.
1:00 PM: Pick-up from your hotel to begin the city tour.
1:15 – 2:15 PM: Visit to Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, the most important religious sanctuary of the Inca Empire.
2:45 – 4:15 PM: Visit to the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuamán, one of Cusco’s most iconic archaeological sites, famous for its massive stone walls and panoramic views over the city.
4:30 – 5:30 PM: Visit to Qenqo, an ancient ceremonial center where important religious rituals and offerings were performed during Inca times.
5:30 – 6:00 PM: Return to the city of Cusco.
6:00 PM approx.: Arrival at the hotel.

Day 6: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN FULL DAY

4:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel to begin the Rainbow Mountain excursion.
4:00 – 6:30 AM: Drive through the stunning Andean landscapes south of Cusco.
6:30 – 7:30 AM: Breakfast included.
7:30 – 9:00 AM: Continuation to the starting point of the hike.
9:00 – 10:30 AM: Hike up to the spectacular Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca).
10:30 – 11:30 AM: Free time to enjoy the scenery, take photos and admire the colorful mountain formations.
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Hike back down to the starting point.
1:00 – 2:00 PM: Buffet lunch included.
2:00 PM: Continuation directly to the city of Puno.
8:00 PM approx.: Arrival in Puno, reception by our staff and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7: LAKE TITICACA - UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS FULL DAY

7:00 – 8:00 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the port of Puno.
8:30 – 10:00 AM: Boat ride across Lake Titicaca to the Floating Islands of Uros.
10:00 – 11:00 AM: Visit to the Uros Islands, where you will learn about the local lifestyle and the traditional construction of the islands using totora reeds.
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Boat ride to Taquile Island.
1:00 – 3:00 PM: Visit to Taquile, known for its textile traditions, Andean landscapes and strong community lifestyle.
1:30 PM approx.: Lunch included on the island.
3:00 – 5:00 PM: Return boat ride to Puno.
5:00 PM approx.: Arrival at the port and transfer to the hotel.

Day 8: PUNO - COPACABANA - LA PAZ

8:00 AM: Departure by tourist bus from Puno with guide assistance throughout the journey.
11:00 AM: Arrival at the Peru – Bolivia border and assistance with the immigration procedures for exit and entry formalities.
1:30 PM: Arrival in Copacabana and free time for lunch (included).
2:30 – 6:30 PM: Sun Island tour, a boat excursion across Lake Titicaca to explore the legendary birthplace of the Inca civilization, visiting the main viewpoints, the Inca terraces and enjoying breathtaking panoramic views over the lake.
6:30 PM: Return by boat to Copacabana.
7:00 PM: Departure by tourist bus from Copacabana to La Paz.
8:00 PM: Crossing of the Tiquina Strait, where passengers cross by motorboat while the bus is transported separately on a barge.
10:30 PM approx.: Arrival in La Paz, reception by our staff and transfer to the hotel.

Day 9: LA PAZ CITY TOUR - MOON VALLEY - CABLE CARS

9:00 – 11:00 AM: Visit to Plaza Murillo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace and the historic San Francisco Church, continuing to the famous Witches’ Market to discover Bolivia’s traditional culture and local handicrafts.
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Ride on the renowned Mi Teleférico cable car system, with breathtaking panoramic views over La Paz, El Alto and the snow capped Illimani mountain.

1:30 – 3:00 PM: Visit to Moon Valley, a spectacular natural attraction known for its unique rock formations shaped by centuries of erosion.

Day 10: FLIGHT TO UYUNI - SUNSET AT THE SALT FLATS

5:00 AM: Transfer from the hotel to El Alto International Airport.
7:10 – 8:10 AM: Direct flight from La Paz to Uyuni.
8:10 AM: Arrival at Uyuni Airport, reception by our staff and transfer.
9:00 – 11:30 AM: Time to rest, acclimatize and get ready for the visit to the salt flats.
12:00 – 1:00 PM: Free time for lunch.
1:30 – 5:30 PM: Entrance to the Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest salt flat in the world, with its endless white landscapes, time for perspective photos and to admire the scenery.
5:30 – 6:30 PM: Sunset experience at the Uyuni Salt Flats, one of the most magical moments of the journey.
7:00 PM: Transfer to the hotel.

Day 11: TRAIN CEMETERY - COLCHANI - INCAHUASI ISLAND

6:30 – 7:30 AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

8:30 – 9:30 AM: Visit to the Train Cemetery, home to historic locomotives that played an important role in Bolivia’s railway history.
9:45 – 10:30 AM: Continuation to the village of Colchani, where you will learn about the traditional salt extraction and processing methods.
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Entrance to the Uyuni Salt Flats and time to enjoy its endless white landscapes, with plenty of opportunities for perspective photography and panoramic views.

1:30 – 3:30 PM: Visit to Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti, walking trails and spectacular 360 degree views across the salt flats.

Day 12: HIGHLAND LAGOONS - STONE TREE - RED LAGOON

9:00 – 11:00 AM: Drive through the Chiguana Salt Flats, surrounded by volcanic landscapes and highland views.
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Visit to the highland lagoons, home to flamingos and beautiful natural scenery.
12:30 – 1:30 PM: Lunch during the route.
1:30 – 3:00 PM: Continuation to the Siloli Desert and visit to the famous Stone Tree, a unique natural rock formation shaped by the wind.
3:00 – 5:00 PM: Arrival at the Red Lagoon, known for its reddish tones, flamingos and volcanic landscapes.

Unforgettable Experience

15 Days In-Depth Tour of Peru

The tour was good but not very suitable for elderly travelers because of the early wake-up times.

The long bus trip from Nazca to Arequipa was especially tough. We left Nazca at 4 PM and arrived in Arequipa around 2:30 AM.

Tour guide Tatiana and all drivers did a very good job.
