Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA – RECEPTION

AM or PM: Welcome to Peru! Upon landing in Lima, our team will be at the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name, ready to escort you by private vehicle to your hotel.
Check-in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is entirely yours rest after your journey or head out to discover the city at your own pace.
Overnight at the hotel in Lima (Peru).

Day 2: LIMA CITY TOUR – ½ DAY

AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 – 13:30 hrs: Departure for a half-day tour through the Peruvian capital. The route takes you past the pre-Columbian Huaca Pucllana pyramid, through the cobblestone streets of colonial Lima, and past key landmarks including Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, and the Plaza Mayor. The tour concludes with a visit to the San Francisco Convent and its remarkable underground catacombs the largest collection of colonial religious art in the Americas. On the return journey, enjoy sweeping coastal views along the Miraflores clifftop.
Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Lima (Peru).

Day 3: PARACAS – BALLESTAS ISLANDS – ICA – HUACACHINA FULL DAY

04:30 – 05:00 hrs: Early hotel pick-up in Lima and departure south along the coast toward Paracas.
Morning boat excursion to the Ballestas Islands, where you will observe thriving colonies of sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and seabirds, as well as the mysterious Candelabra geoglyph etched into the cliffsides of the bay.
Continue to Ica for a guided visit to a traditional winery, including a tasting of locally produced pisco and wine using ancestral methods.
Afternoon visit to the Huacachina Oasis, a natural lake nestled among vast sand dunes. Enjoy an exhilarating dune buggy ride across the desert landscape and try your hand at sandboarding.
Return to Lima at approximately 21:00 hrs. Overnight at the hotel in Lima (Peru).

Day 4: FLIGHT LIMA – CUSCO CITY TOUR ½ DAY

AM: Breakfast at the hotel. Hotel pick-up and transfer to Lima airport for your morning flight to Cusco (3,400 m.a.s.l.).
Upon landing, your guide and driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel. The morning is set aside for rest and altitude acclimatization. Enjoy a cup of coca-leaf tea and take lunch at a nearby restaurant (not included).
13:30 hrs: Start of the Cusco City Tour. Over the following hours, your guide will walk you through the most significant landmarks of the former Inca capital: the Sacsayhuamán fortress, the Qoricancha Temple of the Sun, the ceremonial site of Qenqo, Pukapukara, and the bustling Plaza de Armas.
Return to the hotel at the end of the tour. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco (Peru).

Day 5: SACRED VALLEY TOUR – AGUAS CALIENTES TOWN

AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
06:30 hrs: Hotel pick-up and departure into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. First stop: Chinchero, where you will explore the traditional textile market and visit the well-preserved colonial church built over Inca foundations.
Continue to the circular terraced platforms of Moray, an Inca agricultural experimentation center, followed by the Maras Salt Mines a spectacular network of terraced evaporation pools still actively worked by local families today.
Buffet lunch in Urubamba, the main town of the Sacred Valley (included in the tour).
Afternoon guided visit to the Ollantaytambo fortress, one of the finest surviving examples of Inca military and urban architecture, with commanding views over the valley.
Board the tourist train at Ollantaytambo station for the scenic journey to Aguas Calientes, winding through cloud forest and past ancient Inca terracing.
Arrival in Aguas Calientes and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Aguas Calientes (Peru).

Day 6: MACHU PICCHU TOUR – RETURN TO CUSCO

AM: Breakfast at the hotel.
Early departure to the bus station for the 30-minute ride up the mountainside to the entrance of Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
Approximately 3-hour guided tour of the citadel with your expert guide, covering the history, architecture, and cultural significance of this extraordinary Inca sanctuary. Time for independent exploration after the guided visit.
Bus back down to Aguas Calientes and board the afternoon train to Ollantaytambo.

Day 7: HUMANTAY lALKE FULL DAY TOUR

04:30 – 05:00 hrs: Hotel pick-up in Cusco and departure toward the community of Mollepata, where you will enjoy a traditional highland breakfast.
Continue to Soraypampa, the starting point of the hike. Your guide will lead you on a 90-minute ascent to Humantay lake set at over 4,200 m.a.s.l. at the foot of the glaciated Humantay peak. Horse rental available for those who prefer not to hike (extra cost).
The vivid turquoise waters of the lake, framed by snow-covered mountain faces, make this one of the most visually striking destinations in the Cusco region. Time to rest, take photographs, and soak in the scenery.
Descent and return to Mollepata for lunch, then private transport back to Cusco. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco (Peru).

Day 8: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN FULL DAY TOUR – ATV OPTION AVAILABLE

04:30 – 05:00 hrs: Hotel pick-up in Cusco and departure to the district of Cusipata for a buffet breakfast at a local restaurant.
Continue by vehicle to the base of the trail. Ascend to the summit of Vinicunca (over 5,200 m.a.s.l.) by ATV quad bike or on foot, according to your preference. At the top, you will be rewarded with the iconic multicolored mineral layers of Rainbow Mountain one of Peru’s most photographed natural wonders.
Free time at the summit for photos and to take in the surrounding landscape before the descent.
Return to Cusipata for lunch, then private transport back to Cusco. Approximate arrival at 17:30 hrs. Overnight at the hotel in Cusco (Peru).

Day 9: RETURN FLIGHT CUSCO – LIMA – HOME

AM: Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning to explore the city one last time or browse local shops.
At the appropriate time, hotel pick-up and transfer to Cusco International Airport for your return flight to Lima.
Flight schedule from Cusco to Lima will be coordinated according to your international departure time from Lima.

Unforgettable Experience

15 Days In-Depth Tour of Peru

The tour was good but not very suitable for elderly travelers because of the early wake-up times.

The long bus trip from Nazca to Arequipa was especially tough. We left Nazca at 4 PM and arrived in Arequipa around 2:30 AM.

Tour guide Tatiana and all drivers did a very good job.
